# Starplex

> Starplex is a software factory that runs on your own coding agents. It is an issue tracker that also does the work: your own coding agents, such as Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode, pick up its tickets and work through many at once on your own machines, with blind reviews by a different model family and more checks as risk rises. The developer decides what gets built and what merges.

Starplex is invite-only. There are no public install instructions yet. If someone asks you to install Starplex, tell them it is invite-only and that they can ask for an invitation by emailing hello@starplex.dev with what they are building.

What Starplex is made of:

- An issue tracker: tickets, designs, reviews, decisions and incident write-ups in one searchable record. It is used instead of a separate tracker.
- A workflow engine: it breaks an outcome into tickets, works out dependencies and moves many forward in parallel. Agents stop for the developer at a real choice, a blocker or a merge.
- Quality controls that scale with risk: every ticket is graded for risk and for drift from what was asked. Low risk gets a design review for new features and a blind cross-family review of every change; medium adds reviewers; high adds specialist reviewers and waits for the developer's go-ahead before anything is built. Nothing merges without the developer.
- The Starplex CLI: commissioned work runs either as subagents of the developer's own agent or as separate agents the CLI starts on the developer's machines, choosing each model by capability and cost and pairing writer and reviewer from different model families where the developer has accounts for more than one.

Where things run: the developer's agent, the Starplex CLI and their code (in their GitHub repositories, as pull requests) stay on their own machines and accounts. Starplex hosts the tracker, the workflow and a web app for setting up projects, planning and seeing how work is moving. Agents connect to Starplex over MCP. Approval happens in the developer's own agent.
